Use coarse coffee grounds
Measure coffee at about 1:15 to 1:17 coffee-to-water ratio
Heat water to about 195–205°F, or just off the boil
Add coffee grounds to the French press
Pour in a small amount of water to wet all grounds
Wait 30 seconds for the coffee to bloom
Pour in the remaining water
Stir gently to fully saturate the grounds
Place the lid on with the plunger pulled up
Steep for 4 minutes
Press the plunger down slowly and steadily
Serve immediately
Pour all coffee out to prevent over-extraction
Clean the French press after use
