Craft a beacon using 3 obsidian, 5 glass, and 1 nether star
Place the beacon on top of a solid base made of iron blocks, gold blocks, diamond blocks, emerald blocks, or netherite blocks
Build the base as a pyramid with 1 to 4 layers
Use a 3×3 layer for the first level
Add a 5×5 layer for the second level
Add a 7×7 layer for the third level
Add a 9×9 layer for the fourth level
Leave the beacon directly on top of the center block of the top layer
Make sure the beacon has an unobstructed view of the sky
Right-click or use the beacon to open its menu
Insert a payment item such as iron ingot, gold ingot, diamond, emerald, or netherite ingot
Choose a primary power from the available options
If you built a 4-layer pyramid, choose a secondary power
Confirm the selection to activate the beacon
Keep the beacon powered by maintaining the pyramid structure
