Choose a hidden location such as a wall, floor, or mountain side
Gather materials like blocks, pistons, sticky pistons, redstone dust, redstone torches, levers, buttons, pressure plates, observers, repeaters, and slabs
Build a normal-looking outer wall or structure
Leave space behind the section where the secret door will go
Place sticky pistons facing the blocks you want to move
Attach the blocks that will act as the hidden door to the piston faces
Connect the pistons to a redstone circuit
Use a lever, button, pressure plate, or hidden trigger to activate the circuit
Hide the redstone wiring inside walls, floors, or underground
Add a redstone torch or inverter if the door needs to stay closed by default
Test the mechanism to make sure the blocks retract and open cleanly
Add a second piston layer if you want a double-door effect
Use observers for compact automatic triggers
Use trapdoors, carpets, paintings, or bookshelves to disguise the entrance
Match the surrounding blocks so the door blends in
Seal any visible gaps with matching blocks
Add a closing mechanism so the door resets after use
Use a hidden lever behind a painting or under a carpet for manual access
Use a pressure plate or tripwire for automatic opening
Place lighting inside the hidden passage if needed
Secure the entrance so only you know the trigger location
