List all courses and their credit hours
Convert each course grade to grade points using your school’s GPA scale
Multiply each course’s grade points by its credit hours
Add all of the grade points earned across courses
Add all of the credit hours attempted across courses
Divide total grade points by total credit hours
Use the formula: Overall GPA = Total Grade Points ÷ Total Credit Hours
Include only courses counted in GPA
Exclude pass/fail, audit, or non-GPA courses if your school does not count them
Round the result according to your school’s policy
