If you know your average blood glucose in mg/dL, estimate A1C with this formula: A1C = (Average glucose + 46.7) ÷ 28.7
If you know your A1C, estimate average glucose with this formula: Average glucose = (28.7 × A1C) – 46.7
If you want to convert A1C to estimated average glucose in mmol/L, first convert mg/dL to mmol/L by dividing by 18
Common A1C estimate examples:
0% = about 97 mg/dL
0% = about 126 mg/dL
0% = about 154 mg/dL
0% = about 183 mg/dL
0% = about 212 mg/dL
0% = about 240 mg/dL
