Dial the extension number
If required, dial the company main line first, then the extension
If prompted, enter the extension followed by the pound key (#)
If dialing from a mobile phone, include the full phone number and then the extension (or use the carrier’s pause/comma format)
Use a pause (,) or wait (;) after the main number when entering the full number and extension in contacts
If the system uses a transfer prompt, wait for the prompt before entering the extension
Confirm the extension is correct and try again if you reach the wrong line
