Wash and trim fresh green beans
Sterilize canning jars, lids, and rings
Pack green beans into hot jars, leaving 1 inch of headspace
Add boiling water or hot canning liquid, keeping 1 inch of headspace
Remove air bubbles with a nonmetallic utensil
Wipe jar rims clean
Place lids on jars and screw on rings fingertip-tight
Process jars in a pressure canner at the correct pressure for your altitude and jar size
Follow the recommended processing time for green beans
Turn off heat and let pressure return to zero naturally
Remove jars and place them on a towel or rack
Let jars cool undisturbed for 12 to 24 hours
Check seals after cooling
Remove rings, label jars, and store in a cool, dark place
