Open the Facebook app or website and log in
Go to Settings and privacy
Select Settings
Open Accounts Center
Tap Personal details
Select Account ownership and control
Tap Deactivation or deletion
Choose the Facebook account you want to cancel
Select Delete account
Tap Continue
Follow the prompts to confirm
Enter your password if asked
Confirm the deletion request
Download your information first if you want to keep a copy
You can cancel the deletion within the grace period by logging back in and selecting Cancel deletion
