Use the T-Mobile app or online account chat to request cancellation
Visit a T-Mobile store and ask to cancel the line or account
Provide the account holder’s name, account number, and PIN or passcode
Confirm any remaining device balances, ETF charges, or final bill amounts
Return any leased or financed equipment if required
Request a cancellation confirmation number or email
Pay the final bill after service is disconnected
If you are on a family plan, specify which line or lines to cancel
If you are switching carriers, do not cancel before your new service is active if you want to keep your number
Ask T-Mobile to port your number to the new carrier if needed
