Locate the water filter compartment in your refrigerator
Turn off the water supply if required by your model
Open the filter cover or access panel
Remove the old filter by twisting, pulling, or pressing the release tab
Take the new filter out of its packaging
Remove any protective caps or seals from the new filter
Insert the new filter into the slot
Twist, push, or lock it into place according to your model
Close the filter cover or access panel
Run several gallons of water through the dispenser
Check for leaks around the filter area
Reset the filter indicator light if your refrigerator has one
