Remove the back cover of the AirTag.
If it’s a new battery: pull the battery tab to activate the battery.
If it’s replacing the battery: remove the old CR2032 battery.
Insert a CR2032 coin cell battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
Press the battery into place.
Reattach the back cover by pressing it on until it clicks.
If you need to check battery status: open the Find My app and view the AirTag’s battery level.
