Stand in front of a mirror and look for any swelling, lumps, or changes in size or shape
Gently roll each testicle between your thumb and fingers
Check for any hard lumps, smooth bumps, or areas that feel different from the rest
Feel the epididymis at the back of each testicle so you can tell normal structures from unusual lumps
Check for pain, heaviness, or tenderness
Compare both sides for differences in size, firmness, or position
Perform the check after a warm shower or bath when the scrotum is relaxed
Repeat the check regularly so you notice any new changes
Seek medical attention if you find a lump, swelling, pain, or any sudden change
