Go to the “Dashboard” or “View Filed Returns” section
Check the status of your Income Tax Return
Open the relevant assessment year
Look for refund details under the return status
Check the “Refund Status” or “Refund/Demand Status” section
Use the NSDL/Protean refund status portal if needed
Enter your PAN and assessment year
Verify the refund status shown on the screen
Check your bank account linked with your PAN
Review SMS or email updates from the Income Tax Department
Contact the CPC Income Tax helpline if the refund is delayed
