Verify the ticket status as confirmed, RAC, waitlisted, or canceled
Check the passenger details, train number, date, and coach/seat number
If needed, use the railway inquiry portal or helpline to confirm status
For counter tickets, check the printed ticket for reservation status and coach/berth details
Recheck the status closer to departure, as it may change before chart preparation
Save or print the final confirmed ticket details for travel
