Relax your jaw, throat, and shoulders
Fill your cheeks with air while keeping a steady airflow from your lungs
Use your cheek muscles to push air out through your mouth
At the same time, inhale quickly through your nose
Practice alternating cheek pressure and nasal inhalation until the airflow stays continuous
Start with short practice sessions
Use a straw or mouthpiece at first if needed
Practice with water in your mouth only if you are supervised and confident
Stop if you feel dizzy or strained
Build control slowly with regular practice
