How To Clean A Countertop Ice Maker?

Unplug the ice maker and remove all ice

Empty the water reservoir

Remove any removable parts, such as the ice basket and scoop

Wash removable parts with warm water and mild dish soap

Rinse and dry all removable parts thoroughly

Mix a cleaning solution according to the manufacturer’s instructions or use equal parts water and white vinegar if allowed

Wipe the interior surfaces with the cleaning solution using a soft cloth or sponge

Clean the water reservoir with the cleaning solution

Run a cleaning cycle if the machine has one

Rinse the system by running clean water through the machine

Wipe away any remaining residue with a clean damp cloth

Dry the interior and exterior completely

Reassemble the parts

Plug the ice maker back in and discard the first batch of ice if recommended by the manufacturer

Clean the exterior with a soft damp cloth

Repeat cleaning regularly as recommended by the manufacturer
