Check the rug care label
Vacuum both sides thoroughly
Shake out loose dirt outdoors
Test any cleaner on a small hidden area
Spot clean stains with a suitable cleaner
Use a carpet cleaner or steam cleaner if the rug allows it
Scrub gently with a soft brush
Avoid soaking the rug
Rinse lightly if needed
Blot excess moisture with clean towels
Dry the rug completely in a well-ventilated area
Flip it periodically while drying
Vacuum again after it is fully dry
