Turn off the engine and remove the key
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Locate the mass air flow sensor
Unplug the electrical connector
Remove the sensor from the air intake assembly
Inspect the sensor for visible dirt or damage
Use only mass air flow sensor cleaner
Spray the sensing elements lightly and evenly
Do not touch the sensing elements
Do not use compressed air
Do not use brushes or cloths
Let the sensor air dry completely
Reinstall the sensor
Reconnect the electrical connector
Reconnect the negative battery terminal
Start the engine and check for proper operation
