Unplug the air fryer and let it cool completely
Remove the basket and tray
Turn the air fryer upside down or tilt it carefully to access the heating element
Brush off loose crumbs and debris with a soft brush or dry cloth
Wipe the heating element gently with a damp microfiber cloth
Use a soft sponge with warm soapy water for stuck-on grease, if needed
Avoid soaking the heating element or spraying liquid directly on it
Use a cotton swab for tight spaces around the element
Dry the area completely with a clean towel
Let the air fryer air-dry fully before plugging it back in
Repeat regularly to prevent buildup
