Let the pan cool completely
Scrape out any food residue
Wash with hot water and a small amount of mild soap if needed
Use a non-abrasive sponge or brush
For stuck-on food, scrub with coarse salt and a little water
Rinse thoroughly
Dry immediately with a towel
Heat the pan on the stove or in the oven to remove all moisture
Apply a very thin layer of cooking oil to the entire surface
Wipe off all excess oil
Place the pan upside down in a preheated oven at 450–500°F
Put foil or a baking sheet on the lower rack to catch drips
Bake for 1 hour
Turn off the oven and let the pan cool inside
Repeat the seasoning process if needed
Store in a dry place
Avoid soaking the pan
Avoid the dishwasher
Re-season after heavy use or if rust appears
