Wash your hands first

Clean only the visible parts of the ear
Wipe behind the ears gently
Dry the area with a soft towel
Do not put cotton swabs or anything else into the ear canal
Do not use ear drops unless a doctor says to
Clean ears during regular bath time
Contact a pediatrician if you notice pain, discharge, swelling, or bad odor
