Wipe away crumbs and debris with a dry cloth or soft brush
Mix warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap
Dampen a soft cloth with the soapy water
Wipe the countertop along the grain
Rinse the cloth with clean water and wipe away soap residue
Dry the surface immediately with a clean towel
For stuck-on residue, use a plastic scraper gently
For stains, rub lightly with a paste of baking soda and water
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly
Disinfect occasionally with a vinegar and water solution
Avoid soaking the wood or leaving standing water
Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, and abrasive cleaners
Reapply food-safe mineral oil or butcher block conditioner regularly
Buff the surface after oiling with a clean dry cloth
