Remove floor mats and loose items
Vacuum the carpet thoroughly
Pre-treat stains with carpet cleaner
Scrub stains with a soft brush
Apply carpet shampoo or upholstery cleaner
Work cleaner into the carpet with a brush
Wipe with a damp microfiber cloth
Use a wet-dry vacuum to extract moisture
Repeat on stubborn stains
Rinse lightly if needed
Dry the carpet completely
Leave doors open or use fans
Replace floor mats when dry
