How to Clean CDs and DVDs?
Wash your hands before handling the disc
Hold the disc by the edges or center hole
Blow off loose dust with clean air
Wipe gently with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth
Wipe from the center hole straight outward to the edge
Use a small amount of distilled water if needed
Add a drop of mild dish soap for greasy dirt if needed
Rinse with distilled water after using soap
Dry with a clean microfiber cloth
Use isopropyl alcohol only if necessary and in small amounts
Avoid circular wiping motions
Avoid paper towels, tissues, and rough cloths
Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, and household chemicals
Let the disc air-dry completely before use
Store discs in cases when not in use
Replace discs that are deeply scratched or cracked
