How To Clean Charging Port?

Power off the device and unplug the charger

Inspect the port using a flashlight for visible lint, dust, or debris

Use a dry, soft-bristled brush (or a clean, dry toothbrush) to gently sweep debris out of the port

Use compressed air in short bursts to blow out loosened debris (hold the can upright)

If debris is stuck, use a wooden or plastic toothpick to carefully remove it without scratching

For stubborn lint, wrap a small amount of dry cotton or a lint-free swab around a plastic tool, then gently wipe inside the port

If allowed by the manufacturer, lightly dampen a lint-free swab with 70–90% isopropyl alcohol and gently clean the inside surfaces

Let the port fully dry before reconnecting the charger (at least 10–15 minutes, or longer if needed)

Test by plugging in the charger and confirming a stable connection

Do not use metal tools (pins, needles, paperclips) inside the port

Do not insert anything wet into the port unless using a small amount of isopropyl alcohol and then allowing it to fully dry

Do not use excessive force that could bend or damage the pins/contacts

Do not spray liquids directly into the charging port

Do not use bleach, household cleaners, or abrasive materials
