Turn the garment inside out
Brush off any dry residue
Rub the stain with white vinegar
Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes
Gently scrub with a soft brush or cloth
Rinse with cold water
Apply liquid laundry detergent directly to the stain
Rub the fabric together or use a soft brush
Wash according to the care label
Air dry and check the stain before using heat
Repeat if needed
For white shirts, use a baking soda and water paste
For stubborn buildup, soak in warm water with oxygen bleach
Avoid machine drying until the stain is gone
