Twist or lift the filter out, depending on the model
Remove any large food debris by hand
Rinse the filter under warm running water

Wash with mild dish soap if needed
Rinse thoroughly
Check the filter housing and remove any debris there
Reinstall the filter securely in place
Replace the bottom rack
Run a short cycle if needed to confirm proper operation
