Put on gloves
Pick up solid waste with paper towels or a plastic bag
Blot up as much liquid as possible with paper towels
Do not rub the carpet
Mix cold water with a small amount of mild dish soap
Blot the stained area with the solution
Blot again with clean water to remove soap
Apply an enzymatic pet cleaner to the area
Let the cleaner sit for the recommended time
Blot the area dry with clean towels
Sprinkle baking soda over the spot if odor remains
Vacuum the baking soda after it dries
Repeat the cleaning if needed
Open windows or use a fan to help the carpet dry
Wash your hands after finishing
