Scrape off excess slime with a spoon or dull knife
Blot the area with a paper towel
Mix warm water with a small amount of dish soap
Dab the stain with the soapy solution using a clean cloth
Blot again with a dry cloth
Apply white vinegar to any remaining residue
Let it sit for a few minutes
Blot and gently lift the slime from the carpet
Rinse the area with clean water
Blot dry with a towel
Sprinkle baking soda over the spot if odor remains
Vacuum once the carpet is fully dry
Repeat as needed until the slime is gone
