Power off the MacBook and unplug all cables
Wash and dry your hands
Use a microfiber cloth only
Gently wipe the screen in one direction, then switch directions if needed
If needed, lightly dampen the microfiber cloth with water
For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the microfiber cloth with a 70% isopropyl alcohol solution
Wipe gently, avoiding excess liquid around the edges
Let the screen dry fully before turning the MacBook back on
Avoid spraying any liquid directly onto the screen
Do not use paper towels, tissues, or abrasive cleaners
Do not use household glass cleaners, aerosol sprays, or bleach-based products
Do not use solvents like acetone or ammonia
Keep liquids away from ports, keyboard, and speaker grilles
Replace the microfiber cloth if it becomes dirty or abrasive
