Wear gloves, a mask, and eye protection
Open windows and improve ventilation
Remove loose items from the area
Mix warm water with mild detergent
Apply the solution to the mouldy wall with a sponge or cloth
Scrub gently until the mould is removed
Wipe the area with clean water
Dry the wall completely with a clean cloth or fan
Use white vinegar or a mould cleaner on stubborn mould
Repeat cleaning if needed
Dispose of contaminated cloths or sponges safely
Fix leaks and reduce moisture to prevent mould returning
Use a dehumidifier if the area stays damp
Repaint only after the wall is fully dry and clean
