Empty the washing machine
Remove any laundry, detergent, and accessories
Clean the detergent drawer
Wipe the door, gasket, and drum
Run a hot empty cycle with washing machine cleaner or white vinegar
Add baking soda to the drum if needed
Clean the filter or lint trap
Wipe the exterior of the machine
Leave the door and detergent drawer open to dry
Repeat monthly or as needed
