Unplug the washing machine
Wear gloves and a mask
Remove all laundry from the machine
Wipe the door, gasket, drum, and detergent drawer with a cloth
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water
Scrub moldy areas with the solution
Clean the rubber gasket folds thoroughly
Remove and wash the detergent drawer
Run an empty hot water cycle with 2 cups of white vinegar
Run a second empty hot cycle with baking soda
Wipe the inside dry after each cycle
Leave the door open to air out the machine
Clean the filter if your machine has one
Repeat the cleaning regularly to prevent mold
