How To Clean Oven Racks?

Remove oven racks and place them in a large sink, bathtub, or outdoor area.

Lay down a towel or mat to protect surfaces.

Sprinkle baking soda generously over the racks.

Spray or pour white vinegar over the baking soda until fizzing stops.

Let racks soak for 2–8 hours (overnight for heavy buildup).

Scrub with a non-scratch scrubber or sponge, paying attention to corners and rails.

Rinse thoroughly with hot water.

Dry with a clean towel or let air-dry completely.

For stubborn grease, reapply baking soda, add a little vinegar, and scrub again.

For very heavy buildup, soak racks in hot water with dish soap for 1–2 hours, then follow with baking soda/vinegar treatment.

Avoid using steel wool or harsh abrasives that can scratch or strip coatings.

Clean the rack supports and oven interior while racks are out.

Reinstall racks only after they are fully dry.
