Remove the shower head (if detachable) and place it in a bowl or plastic bag
Fill with enough white vinegar to fully submerge the shower head
Soak for 30–60 minutes
For heavy buildup, soak overnight
Scrub nozzles with an old toothbrush or small brush
Rinse thoroughly with hot water
Run the shower on hot for 1–2 minutes to flush loosened debris
If you can’t remove the shower head: wrap it with a vinegar-soaked cloth or paper towels
Secure with plastic wrap or a bag around the shower head
Leave for 30–60 minutes (or overnight for heavy buildup)
Remove the wrap and scrub the nozzles
Rinse thoroughly with hot water
Wipe the outside with a damp cloth
Reattach the shower head and run water for 1–2 minutes
Repeat every 1–3 months for ongoing prevention
