How To Clean Tea Kettle?

Unplug the kettle (if electric).

Fill the kettle with equal parts water and white vinegar (enough to cover the heating area).

Bring to a boil (or heat until hot), then turn off and let sit 30–60 minutes.

Empty the vinegar solution.

Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Fill with fresh water, boil, then empty.

Repeat the rinse/boil cycle 1–2 times if there’s a vinegar smell.

For light scale: soak with vinegar solution for 15–30 minutes, then rinse and boil with plain water once.

For stubborn buildup: repeat vinegar soak/boil until scale loosens.

For stovetop kettles: use a non-scratch sponge or soft brush to gently loosen loosened scale.

For the exterior: wipe with a damp cloth; use mild dish soap for greasy spots.

For mineral deposits on the spout/lid: scrub gently with a soft brush or cotton swab, then rinse.

Dry completely before storing.
