Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool completely
Remove the water reservoir, brew basket, filter, carafe, and any removable parts
Wash removable parts with warm, soapy water
Rinse all removable parts thoroughly and dry them
Wipe the exterior, warming plate, and control panel with a damp cloth
Fill the water reservoir with equal parts white vinegar and water
Place the empty carafe in position
Run a clean cycle or brew cycle with the vinegar solution
Discard the vinegar solution from the carafe
Run two to four full cycles with fresh water only
Empty and rinse the carafe after each rinse cycle
Clean the showerhead and other hard-to-reach areas with a soft brush or cloth
Reassemble all parts after everything is dry
Repeat cleaning regularly to prevent buildup
