How to Clean Thermal Compound?
Power off the device
Unplug all cables and power sources
Remove the heatsink or cooler
Wipe off excess thermal compound with a dry lint-free cloth or paper towel
Apply isopropyl alcohol to a lint-free cloth, cotton swab, or coffee filter
Gently clean the remaining compound from the CPU, GPU, and heatsink surfaces
Repeat with fresh alcohol and clean swabs until the surfaces are clean
Let all surfaces dry completely
Inspect for leftover residue and clean again if needed
Avoid using metal tools or abrasive materials
Reapply fresh thermal compound before reinstalling the cooler
