Locate the tilt cord or lift cords on the blinds
Pull the cords gently in the direction that lowers or closes the blinds
If there is a cord lock, release it before pulling
Keep pulling until the slats or fabric are fully closed
If the blinds have a wand, rotate it to close the slats
If the blinds are vertical, pull the cord to draw the panels together
If the blinds are Roman or roller style, pull the lift cord down and secure it
Stop pulling once the blinds are fully closed to avoid damage
Secure the cord in the cleat or lock if one is present
