Submit the closure form and documents to the branch or through the broker’s process
Verify whether any joint holder signatures are required
Confirm closure of linked trading account if needed
Collect acknowledgment or closure request reference number
Wait for confirmation from the depository participant or broker
Check that the demat account status shows closed in your records
Keep the closure confirmation for future reference
