Ensure all securities are sold or transferred out of the demat account
Settle any pending dues, charges, or obligations
Download or collect the demat account closure form from ICICI Direct or the nearest ICICI branch
Fill in the closure form with account holder details and demat account number
Sign the form as per the registered signature
Attach required documents such as PAN card copy, address proof, and CMR copy if requested
Submit the completed form at the ICICI Direct office or designated branch
Return any debit balance or pending transaction issues, if applicable
Collect acknowledgment or reference number after submission
Follow up with ICICI customer care or branch until closure is confirmed
Keep a copy of the submitted closure request for records
