Visit your SBI branch where the PPF account is maintained
Carry your PPF passbook, account details, Aadhaar, PAN, and a cancelled cheque or bank account details
Ask for the PPF account closure form
Fill in the closure form with your account number, reason for closure, and bank details for transfer
Attach the required documents
Submit the form at the branch
If closing before maturity, provide supporting documents for premature closure, if applicable
Wait for SBI to verify the request and process the closure
Receive the maturity or closure amount in your linked bank account
Collect the closure confirmation or acknowledgment from the branch
If the account is linked online, check the status in SBI internet banking or with the branch after submission
