Ask for the account closure form
Fill in the account closure form carefully
Attach self-attested copies of required documents if asked
Clear all pending dues, charges, or loan obligations linked to the account
Withdraw or transfer the remaining balance from the account
Submit the completed form and documents at the branch
Return the debit card, cheque book, and unused cheque leaves if required
Collect the acknowledgment or closure receipt from the bank
Wait for the bank to process the closure request
Confirm that the account has been closed by checking with the branch or customer care
