Gather unsweetened Kool-Aid packets, hot water, a bowl, gloves, a brush or applicator, plastic wrap or a shower cap, and old towels
Wash your hair and leave it slightly damp
Protect your clothes, skin, and work area
Mix the Kool-Aid with hot water until fully dissolved
Apply the mixture to the hair section you want to color
Saturate the hair thoroughly
Cover the hair with plastic wrap or a shower cap
Leave it on until the color develops
Rinse your hair with cool water
Let your hair air-dry
Repeat if you want a stronger color
Use conditioner after rinsing if needed
