Plug in your Alexa device and wait for it to power on
Open the Alexa app on your phone or tablet
Tap More (or the menu icon)
Tap Settings
Tap Set Up a New Device
Select your device type (Echo, Echo Dot, etc.)
Select your device model from the list
When prompted, put the device in setup mode (light ring turns orange)
In the app, select your WiFi network
Enter your WiFi password
Confirm to connect
Wait for the device to finish connecting
Test by saying a command (example: “Alexa, what time is it?”)
