Check the camera type and available ports
Turn off the camera before connecting
Use the correct cable for the camera
Connect one end of the cable to the camera
Connect the other end of the cable to the computer
Turn on the camera
Wait for the computer to detect the camera
Install any required drivers if prompted
Open the camera software or file explorer
Select the camera as the input or storage device
Transfer files or use the camera as needed
Safely eject the camera before disconnecting
Unplug the cable from both devices
