How to Pack a Business Suit?

Choose a garment bag or a hard-sided suitcase with enough space

Brush and inspect the suit before packing

Empty all pockets

Button the jacket and close the zipper or buttons on trousers

Turn the jacket inside out only if needed for folding

Fold one shoulder of the jacket inside out

Tuck the other shoulder into the first shoulder to form a compact fold

Lay the jacket flat and fold it in half lengthwise

Fold the jacket once more only if necessary to fit the bag

Fold trousers along the crease

Place tissue paper between folds to reduce wrinkles

Roll or fold the trousers gently and keep the crease aligned

Put the jacket on top of the trousers or in a separate compartment

Place the suit near the top of the suitcase

Keep heavy items away from the suit

Pack dress shirts separately with tissue paper or a shirt folder

Place shoes in shoe bags and keep them at the bottom or sides

Add socks, belt, and tie in small pouches

Use dry-cleaning plastic or a garment sleeve for extra protection

Unpack and hang the suit immediately after arrival

Steam or lightly press the suit if needed
