Turn off the TV, monitor, or projector
Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the device
Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the display
Turn on the display
Turn on the device
Select the correct HDMI input on the display using the remote or input button
Check that the image and sound are working
Reseat the cable if there is no signal
Try a different HDMI port or cable if needed
