Check the ports on your Mac and monitor
Use the correct cable or adapter
Turn off the Mac and monitor
Connect the cable from the Mac to the monitor
Turn on the monitor
Turn on the Mac
Open System Settings
Go to Displays
Select the monitor if it does not appear automatically
Adjust resolution, refresh rate, and arrangement if needed
Set mirror display or extended display as desired
Disconnect safely when finished
