Turn on the device you want to connect the Wii controller to
Open the battery cover on the Wii Remote
Insert fresh batteries if needed
Press the red SYNC button inside the battery compartment
Open the SD card cover on the Wii console if connecting to a Wii
Press the red SYNC button on the Wii console
Wait for the lights on the Wii Remote to stop flashing and stay on
Repeat the sync process for each additional controller
If using a Wii MotionPlus or accessory, attach it before syncing if required
If the controller does not connect, replace the batteries and try again
If the controller still does not connect, turn the console off and repeat the sync process
